Clear skies and a light Northeast breeze for our day after Thanksgiving walk on Friday.
We walked the beach side to the Semiahmoo Marina cafe for a late lunch and then the paved trail back to the Semiahmoo Whatcom county parks, parking lot. No Seals today, but lots of birds.
Great views of the mountains, both in the U.S. and Canada.
High tide, but still a bit of beach to walk on.
Scoutina thought the water temp was fine
View of Whiterock, B.C. from the Spit
The Semiahmoo Marina with a view of Mt. Baker and the Twin sisters.
Saw a couple of Harlequin ducks at the point of the strip (zoomed in cell phone photos).
Then on to lunch at the cafe.
I had Split pea/Black forest ham soup with cornbread and a cup of Lemon Ginger tea, my husband had a Cheeseburger and an Oat milk latte. We enjoyed our lunch outside in the sunshine, Yum!
Our walk was just about 3 miles. Great weather to enjoy the November day.
