To everything there is a season

This month marks a season of change for us.
One of the changes I personally will be making affects my posting about the Trailblazer hikes. I won't be hiking with the Senior Trailblazer's on Thursday's anymore. This decision wasn't made because of the organizational changes going on now in the group, the timing just happens to be coincidental to some changes going on in our lives at this time.
As I was thinking about our changes, a song that was popular when I was teen kept popping into my head. "Turn, Turn, Turn" sung by the Byrds was originally a Bible passage from Ecclesiastes.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

With that being said, here we go........
into our
"Season of change".
“Leaping” into retirement.
My hiking, Spartan partner!

Happy Trails to you........

Mon Oeuvre - en provence Mystery Quilt progress 5

"Oeuvre" (the works of a painter, composer, or author regarded collectively: "the complete oeuvre of Mozart" a work of art, music, or literature: "an early oeuvre" ORIGIN late 19th cent.: French, literally ‘work.’ - Oxford Dictionary.)

We've been given 6 week's of clues now. The clues are given each Friday morning. We had a surprise on New Year's day, the finish Quilt was revealed! Wow, this is what the official Mystery Quilt looks like. Ours will be different because of our own choices of fabrics.
The "Reveal" -

I got the Essential Triangle ruler in the mail this week so I've been cutting & cutting to catch up.

Here's my Half square triangle cut pieces for clue #5 & my Hourglass cut pieces for clue #6 with my new ruler.

The "Reveal" posting by Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville had the remainder clues in it for us to finish the quilt. I have those all cut up now too. Here's my clue's 1 - 4 completed. Clue's 5, 6 & 7 cut and ready to be sewn, pressed and trimmed. I laid clues 5 & 6 down on the directions sheets (not sewn together yet) so you can see how the hourglass & half square triangle blocks will look. The last clue was easy, just solid yellow squares.

  No more clue's, we're on our own now.
