Mon Oeuvre - Strippy Weave Quilt Complete!

"Oeuvre" (the works of a painter, composer, or author regarded collectively: "the complete oeuvre of Mozart" a work of art, music, or literature: "an early oeuvre" ORIGIN late 19th cent.: French, literally ‘work.’ - Oxford Dictionary.)

It seems this quilt has been on the back burner since I've had it, but today I completed it! This pattern was gifted to me by a friend I met during my Spartan race days. You can read about that day HERE. Billie is an accomplished quilter and has an Etsy shop where she sells her products. You can check out her site here: QuiltsNTeddyBears on Etsy
I lasted posted my progress on this quilt on November of 2020, and I resumed working on it this past June.
In early June I completed sewing the top strips together, using my treadle sewing machine

and I purchased the backing and binding fabrics.

Quilt sandwich time: back, batting & top are spray glued together. I have my own very unprofessional method of making my quilt sandwich, but in the end it works for me.

At the end of October I did the quilting with my Pfaff sewing machine. It just seemed easier to me than trying to wrestle the quilt around the same time as trying to concentrate on treadling.

Quilt sandwich has been quilted! I did diagonal straight lines and then turned the quilt and came back from the other direction for a diamond pattern.

This month I got the binding sewn on.

This morning I finished the last stitch of the binding, then I washed and dried it.

You can never post too many pictures of a finished quilt!!
The piecing of this quilt was sewn on my 1924 Singer Treadle sewing machine. The quilting was done on my Pfaff and the binding was hand sewn. Thanks Billie for gifting me the pattern in 2018. A lot of life has gone on since you gave me this pattern. I'm thankful I was still working on in this year❤.
